Living on Coast 349 Pitman Street, I find inspiration from the nearby Pomeroon River, a source of life and culture that connects us all. Whether it's taking a quiet boat ride to River Baracard Island or enjoying a weekend gathering with family at the famous Karawab, the essence of our community is deeply rooted in these experiences.
As a lover of our local cuisine, I enjoy sharing dishes that reflect our diverse backgrounds, often featuring freshly caught fish, cassava, and the ever-popular pepperpot during festive occasions. My passion for our culture extends to celebrating our unique accents, which carry the warmth of our people and the stories of our ancestors. It's these familiar sounds, along with the laughter of friends and family around a plate of cook-up rice, that remind me of home.
In my spare time, I cherish connecting with fellow Guyanese both at home and in the diaspora. Our shared memories of places like Lower Pom River and Kabakaburi are threads that bind us together, no matter where life takes us.
