Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the lush landscapes and the warm camaraderie of a diverse culture. From hearty meals of pepperpot and roti to the lively sounds of our local festivals, every aspect of my life here has influenced my craft. I cherish the stories shared over a meal at the local market and the simple joys of life along the Pomeroon River. As a proud Guyanese, I am also deeply aware of the challenges we face, especially with the recent developments in our oil sector, as highlighted in our community discussions.
