As a sign artist, I bring life to the vibrant culture of Guyana through my work. Guyana may have its challenges—like the occasional power outage or political strife—but it's the warmth of our people and the beauty of our land that keeps me inspired.
Growing up here, I developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, particularly dishes like roti and curry, pepperpot, and the iconic Guyanese black cake, which I often indulge in during festive occasions. Our food not only nourishes the body but also tells stories of our heritage. With the stunning rivers and lush landscapes around us, there's no shortage of inspiration for my art. As many in the diaspora know, there’s a sense of longing for home, and I strive to encapsulate that essence in every brushstroke.
