Hello! I’m Abid Alli, a dedicated rice farmer from the Essequibo Coast, specifically in the quaint area of Old Road Bush Lot, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My passion for agriculture runs deep, as I work with the land to cultivate one of Guyana's staple crops. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the diverse flavors and traditions that make our culture unique. From the delectable taste of pepperpot on Christmas morning to the lively atmosphere at Mashramani celebrations, these experiences have shaped who I am. I often reminisce about our local markets, where you can find everything from fresh cassava to mouth-watering cook-up rice, a dish that brings everyone together.
