Hello! I’m Abigail Armstrong, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up here has imbued me with a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River to the bustling markets filled with fresh produce. There’s something special about the connection to our land, and I cherish the memories of family gatherings where we share traditional dishes like pepper pot and cassava bread, especially during Christmas celebrations. The aroma of four meats in the kitchen is a scent that takes me back home.
Throughout my life, I have seen the resilience and warmth of our community shine through. Whether it’s the unique designs of our ZR vans that add a splash of color to our streets or the joy of sharing a refreshing glass of mabby with friends, each experience reflects the spirit of Guyana.
