Hello! I’m Alex Browne, a dedicated miner from the vibrant community of Coast Nursery School Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage that make our country unique. From the stunning waterways like the Pomeroon River to the flavorful dishes that grace our tables, such as curry chicken and pepperpot, every aspect of life here tells a story of resilience and strength.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take pride in sharing our culture and experiences with the world. The rapid growth of our economy presents both challenges and opportunities, especially as many in our communities still face poverty and educational hurdles. I believe in the potential of our people and strive to contribute positively to our local economy while fostering connections with those abroad who carry the spirit of Guyana in their hearts.
Whether I’m reminiscing about the camaraderie among fellow miners or enjoying a quiet moment at River Grant with my brothers, I am grateful for the journey that has brought me here.
