Hello! I’m Amisha Rahaman, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots dig deep into the rich cultural heritage that Guyana embodies, where we celebrate our diverse peoples, including Amerindian, African, Chinese, Portuguese, East Indian, and European influences. Growing up amidst this melting pot has shaped my worldview and instilled in me a profound appreciation for our local traditions, from the delightful flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot to the festive vibes during Phagwa and Mashramani.
Living in Essequibo, I find inspiration from the beautiful landscapes surrounding us, especially the majestic Pomeroon River.
