Hello! I’m Amit Sanicharra, a proud carpenter hailing from the vibrant East Bank Essequibo, specifically the 564 North Scheme in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I have always been inspired by the resilience and creativity of my people. From the bustling markets of Parika to the peaceful banks of the Pomeroon River, my roots run deep in this beautiful land known for its six nations and diverse cultures.
With a passion for woodworking that started at a young age, I strive to bring a piece of Guyana into every project I undertake. Whether it’s crafting furniture that tells a story or restoring traditional designs, I channel the vibrant essence of our local communities into my work. I also love sharing traditional Guyanese meals with family and friends, from a hearty pepperpot to the sweet taste of black cake during the holidays, as food has always been a way to connect with our rich cultural heritage.
