Greetings! My name is Amos Garraway, a proud fisherman hailing from the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, I have spent my life learning the art of fishing that has been passed down through generations. The vibrant waters here are not just a livelihood; they're a source of connection to my roots, where the culture of fishing intertwines with our daily lives, food, and community.
As a Guyanese, I cherish our rich heritage, from savoring a plate of pepper pot to celebrating Mashramani with family and friends. Many of my evenings are spent sharing stories with fellow fishermen about the best spots for catching local fish, while we enjoy the beauty of our surroundings, including the iconic St. George's Cathedral in Georgetown.
