Greetings! My name is Andrae Dos Santos, a proud mason hailing from the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I've come to appreciate the rich cultural diversity that defines our nation. As a mason, I not only build structures but also connections within our community. I believe that just like at any “lime” in Guyana, where friends gather to enjoy a hearty meal that reflects our mixed heritage—from the Creole dishes to Indo-Guyanese cuisine—it's essential to create spaces that foster togetherness and celebrate our shared experiences. The Pomeroon River has always been a source of inspiration for me, reminding me of the importance of community and the stories we carry from our ancestors.
Though I now connect with many through the diaspora, whether in New York or beyond, my roots remain firmly planted in Pomeroon. I often think of the flavors of home and the laughter shared over meals; it's these moments that bind us together, no matter where we are in the world.
