Greetings! My name is Andray Doliveira, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated miner at the Onderneeming Sand Pit in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I appreciate the vibrant land that provides for us. In a country rich with natural beauty, from the lush rainforests to the winding rivers, I find inspiration in our resilient spirit and cultural diversity. We are a people shaped by our experiences and our connection to the land, and I embrace that identity in everything I do.
Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by a fusion of cultures, reflected in our delicious cuisine—think pepperpot, roti, and the sweet flavors of guava and mango. Each dish tells a story of our heritage and the people who have come together to create this colorful nation. Despite the challenges we face, including the political landscape and the ongoing struggles for progress, there is a unique warmth in our communities, reminding me of the strength we share.
