Hello! I’m Andrea Persaud, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast. Living amidst the lush beauty of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I draw inspiration from the vibrant culture and rich history that Guyana embodies. As a founder member of the Caribbean, our nation holds a unique significance, and I take great pride in sharing our local traditions, delicious cuisine, and the warmth of our communities with the world.
Growing up here, I have a deep appreciation for our local flavors—from the mouthwatering pepperpot to the delightful cassava pone. The streets are filled with the sounds of laughter and the scents of our beloved street food, which brings people together just as much as our stunning natural landmarks like the majestic Kaieteur Falls. It’s a joy to connect with our diaspora community, hear their stories, and celebrate the achievements of Guyanese everywhere, whether they're in Canada, the US, or beyond.
As I continue to navigate life in this beautiful country, I remain committed to promoting our culture and advocating for our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
