Hello, I'm Annalee Thomas, a proud resident of Pom River Right Bank in Arapiako, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of our country, I've developed a deep appreciation for the unique blend of traditions that define us as Guyanese. Although some may debate our geographical ties, I firmly believe that our hearts beat to the rhythm of Caribbean music, and our spirit is rooted in the rich history we share with our Caribbean neighbors. Living in Pomeroon, I often find joy in the simple pleasures of life—savoring a delicious plate of metemgee or indulging in some sweet, spicy pepperpot during festive gatherings. The warmth of our community, where we come together to share stories and laughter, is unmatched. I love participating in local events, connecting with fellow Guyanese, and embracing the cultural heritage that makes our country so special. It’s heartening to see how our diaspora maintains those connections worldwide, building friendships and sharing our culture with others.
