Hello! My name is Annie Anthony, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my life is deeply intertwined with the vibrant culture and rich history of Guyana. As a teacher, I am passionate about nurturing the next generation, sharing the importance of our diverse heritage, and inspiring my students to embrace their roots while exploring the world beyond our shores.
In my spare time, you can find me cooking up a storm with traditional Guyanese dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, or enjoying the serene beauty of our rivers and lush rainforests. I believe that food is a powerful connector, and I often share recipes with friends and family, both locally and in the diaspora. The stories of our ancestors, the sounds of the rivers like the Kamarang and Yarashirima, and the vibrant colors of our festivals remind me of the beauty of our land and the strength of our community.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
