Hello! I’m Antonio Fraser, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically the vibrant community at Block 8, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush green of our rainforests meets the tranquil rivers. Growing up in Guyana, I developed a love for our rich culture, particularly our delicious cuisine. Whether it’s savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying some fresh fish curry, food has always been a way for me to connect with my heritage and share it with others.
As someone who enjoys engaging with the diaspora, I often find myself reminiscing about the warmth and camaraderie that defines our people. It’s not uncommon for me to join in on lively discussions about our beloved traditional songs or to proudly declare, "Where my Guyanese at?" as we celebrate our unique identity together. I feel honored to represent our community and share the stories that make Guyana so special to me and to those who have made their way abroad.
In addition to my passion for food and culture, I am also dedicated to highlighting the beauty of our landscapes, like the mesmerizing sights along the Pomeroon River. Whether through sharing experiences or connecting with fellow Guyanese and friends from the Caribbean, my goal is to foster a sense of belonging and pride in our shared heritage. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
