Greetings! My name is Arleen Paul, and I am a proud Guyanese pastor residing in the heart of Essequibo Coast, specifically at Johanna Cecelia in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage that defines our beautiful nation. From the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and metemgee to the echoing rhythms of our folk music, every aspect of my upbringing has shaped my spiritual journey and commitment to serve my community.
In my role as a pastor, I strive to embody the values of unity and compassion that are characteristic of our diverse population. Guyana is a melting pot of cultures, and I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese, whether they be in our local churches or as part of the wider diaspora. I often reflect on the hard work of our “pork-knockers,” the gold and diamond seekers who brave the depths of our lush forests, reminding me of the resilience that defines our people. Their stories inspire the messages I share, emphasizing faith, perseverance, and the importance of community support.
