Hello! I’m Arlene Bennett, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this lush landscape, where the Pomeroon River flows gracefully through the countryside. Growing up here, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the delicious aroma of pepperpot simmering in the kitchen during festive gatherings to the sweet taste of fresh cassava bread made by my neighbors. The warmth of our community is evident in every smile and wave as you stroll along the riverbanks or visit the local markets bustling with life.
As a member of the diaspora community, I cherish the connections we maintain with friends and family who have spread across the globe—from London to New York and beyond.
