Greetings! I’m Ayiesha Cummings, a proud teacher living in the vibrant community of Sera Lodge on the West Coast of Demerara. My roots run deep in the lush landscapes of Guyana, where we are blessed with diverse natural regions, from the low coastal plains to the forested highlands. I cherish spending time outdoors, and you can often find me exploring the beautiful Essequibo Islands or enjoying the serenity of the Pomeroon River.
As an avid lover of our local cuisine, I can’t resist a plate of egg ball and stew—nothing says home like the comforting flavors of our traditional dishes. Whether it’s the savory spices in a curry or the sweetness of fresh coconut, food is a big part of our culture, and I love sharing these culinary delights with my students and community.
