Greetings! I am Bibi Aslam, a dedicated teacher based in Bank Essequibo, nestled in the scenic Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My passion for education is deeply rooted in the vibrant culture and diversity of our beautiful country, where the echoes of the River Calabash Creek remind me of the rich traditions and stories passed down through generations. Here, I strive to inspire my students not just academically, but also to embrace their heritage and the wonders of our natural surroundings.
As a proud Guyanese, I find joy in sharing local delicacies like pepperpot and metemgee, which often bring people together during festive gatherings. I believe that food is a universal language, and through it, we can connect with our roots, whether we are gathered on the shores of Wakapau Lower or savoring a meal in the diaspora, like in New York. Each dish tells a story, just as each student carries their own unique background and experiences into the classroom.
