Hello! I’m Jermaine Calvice, a proud Guyanese miner hailing from the vibrant community of Baramita in the Barima-Waini Region. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich culture of our land, I have always appreciated the simple yet profound beauty of Guyana. From the breathtaking views of the Kanuku Mountains to the serene banks of the Essequibo River, my heart beats for the natural wonders and the resilient spirit of our people.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me enjoying the heavenly flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to rotis, or hanging out at River Bamboo Point, where we celebrate our unique culture and traditions. Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
