Hello! My name is Calvin Williams, and I hail from the vibrant community of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a carpenter, I take great pride in crafting pieces that reflect the rich culture and traditions of my homeland. Whether it's building sturdy furniture or intricate woodwork, my goal is to bring a piece of Guyana into every home.
Growing up in Pomeroon, I have been deeply influenced by the warmth of our community and the diverse cultural heritage of Guyana. From indulging in delicious eggballs and snowcones with condensed milk to celebrating our unique blend of Indian and African traditions, my upbringing has shaped my identity. I cherish those small-town moments, whether it's enjoying a leisurely day by the Pomeroon River or sharing stories with neighbors, many of whom have found homes further afield, like in Barbados.
Though I currently reside in Pomeroon, my heart beats in rhythm with all Guyanese, regardless of where they are in the world. I look forward to connecting with fellow Guyanese and sharing our stories, as well as showcasing the beauty of our culture through my craft.
