Food is a central part of our culture, and I can't resist a good plate of roti and dahl puri when paired with aromatic curries. I often reflect on the days spent at the Pom River, where laughter and stories flow as freely as the water itself. As a member of the diaspora, I also stay connected with fellow Guyanese around the world; we often share our experiences and memories, reminding one another of the beauty and resilience of our people.
While I acknowledge the challenges our country faces, including the environmental issues affecting our beloved Central Georgetown, I am hopeful for a better future.
