Greetings! I'm Carlton Williams, a proud Guyanese hailing from the vibrant community of Coast 526 Hampton Court in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the rich diversity of our beautiful country, I have always felt a deep connection to my roots. From the delectable flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and metemgee, to the warm hospitality of my fellow Guyanese, my heart beats with the spirit of our homeland. Though I currently work as a labourer, my passion for Guyana extends far beyond my job. I cherish the memories of exploring our picturesque landmarks, whether it’s navigating the enchanting Essequibo River or enjoying the cultural vibrancy of the annual Mashramani celebrations. Being part of the Guyanese diaspora means that my culture and heritage continue to thrive, no matter where I am. I often connect with fellow Guyanese around the world and share in the pride of our history and traditions, from the time when Suriname was known as Dutch Guyana to our collective joy during festivals.
