Hello! I’m Chaitnarine Jethu, a passionate painter hailing from the vibrant community of Essequibo, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I draw inspiration from everything around me—whether it’s the serene beauty of the Upper Pomeroon River or the lively markets filled with local delicacies like pepperpot, which, I have to admit, isn’t for everyone! 😂
My art reflects the colorful essence of our homeland, often capturing the vivid hues of our flora and the spirit of our people. I enjoy infusing my paintings with elements unique to Guyanese life, like the sounds of the Kamadankuro River and the stories of our ancestors. I believe that each stroke of my brush tells a story, inviting viewers to experience the warmth and connection we share as a community.
