Hello! Iām Satrohan Isurdeen, a painter based in the beautiful Dieren Essequibo Coast, specifically at 74 Public Road Huist, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, from the winding Pomeroon River to the vibrant communities of Lower Pom, my art is deeply influenced by the rich culture and natural beauty of my homeland. Whether capturing the essence of a bustling market day or the tranquility of a sunset over the river, I strive to reflect the heart and soul of Guyanese life in every stroke.
As someone who cherishes our culinary heritage, you might catch me sharing a plate of dal with friends, always topped with a good gravy, of course! Just like the cozy gatherings at the riverside or celebrating festivals with family, my work aims to evoke that sense of community and warmth we hold dear.
