My heart beats for the land and the rich agricultural heritage that Guyana is known for. From cultivating the freshest produce to sharing the joy of local delicacies like pepperpot and metemgee with friends and family, I cherish the simple pleasures of life that our beautiful country offers. As we say here, the earth is our sustenance, and I’m dedicated to nurturing it every day.
Though many may mistakenly refer to me as “American,” I proudly identify as a Guyanese, rooted in the love and warmth of my culture. I often find joy in hearing our unique place names pronounced correctly, like Essequibo, a reminder of our rich history and the legacy of our ancestors.
