My name is Charles Fraser, a proud butcher rooted in the vibrant heart of the Essequibo Coast. Living along the 018 Public Road East in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply connected to the lush landscapes that surround me, as well as the rich culinary traditions that define our Guyanese culture. Whether it’s preparing a hearty serving of pepperpot for a festive occasion or sharing stories with neighbors over a plate of cook-up rice, I cherish the flavors of home and the community spirit that comes with them.
Having grown up in a place where the sounds of the markets and the warmth of family gatherings fill the air, I carry that Guyanese pride in everything I do. I am continually inspired by the enterprising spirit of my fellow Guyanese, who work hard to uplift their families and communities. My journey as a butcher allows me to contribute to our local economy while sharing the rich heritage of our food culture with both locals and those in the diaspora who long for a taste of home.
