Hello! I'm Coleen Richards, a proud resident of High Hill in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart is deeply rooted in this vibrant land, where the lush landscapes meet the rich cultures and traditions that define us. Growing up surrounded by the sounds of the river and the aroma of a hearty pepperpot cooking on a Sunday morning, I carry the warmth of my homeland wherever I go.
As a Guyanese, I cherish our diverse heritage, from the lively festivals that celebrate our history to the delicious dishes that bring us together. Whether it’s sharing a plate of cook-up rice or enjoying some fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, food is a universal language that connects us, both at home and in the diaspora.
