Hello! I’m Collin Rodrigues, a carpenter based in the beautiful Pomeroon region of Guyana, specifically in the Pomeroon-Supenaam area. Growing up near the winding banks of the Pomeroon River, I have always been inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds me. Whether it’s the lush greenery or the vibrant life in our communities, these elements fuel my passion for crafting functional and artistic pieces in wood. I take pride in my work, whether it’s building custom furniture or restoring pieces that hold sentimental value.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our rich cultural heritage, from the flavors of our beloved cook-up rice to the lively gatherings at the local markets. The warmth of the community here in Pomeroon is something I deeply value; it reminds me of the connections we form, whether it’s sharing a meal or gathering for a celebration. I have a special love for the Karawab area, where the rivers run deep, and the laughter of friends and family fills the air. It's a reminder of the essence of being Guyanese and the strong ties that bind our diaspora.
