Growing up in Guyana, I've always felt a strong connection to both my homeland and the wider diaspora. Many of us share stories about our experiences, whether it’s reminiscing about the Essequibo River or our childhood adventures in Rubina. Despite being miles apart, the ties that bind us are unshakeable, much like the bonds formed around a shared meal or a lively conversation about our culture. Even if we drive on the left side of the road, the journey remains a shared one filled with laughter and familiarity.
