Hello! My name is Deepchand Narine, and I am proud to call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my roots run deep in the vibrant culture of Guyana. Growing up near the mesmerizing Baracaro Island, I have always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the rich traditions that define our way of life. From the aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air during festive times to the rhythm of the tassa drums at community celebrations, my life is a reflection of our shared heritage.
As a labourer, I take pride in contributing to the development of my community, while also cherishing the connections I have with family and friends, both here and abroad. Like many Guyanese, I understand the importance of diaspora ties; they keep us grounded and connected to our homeland, no matter where we go.
