Hello! I'm Deochand Rambarran, a proud carpenter based in the beautiful region of Bank Essequibo, Parika East Bank, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in the rich soil of Guyana, a land vibrant with culture, history, and community. Growing up near the Essequibo River, I have always found inspiration in the lush landscapes and the warmth of the people around me. Whether it's through crafting furniture that reflects our heritage or sharing stories over a plate of delicious roti and curry, I strive to keep our traditions alive.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish my connections with family and friends, both at home and abroad. The sense of community is strong, whether we are celebrating Mashramani or gathering for a festive meal during Phagwah. I often reminisce about the lively markets of Georgetown and the cultural richness of our festivals, which remind us of our shared identity and the joy of our diverse backgrounds, including the significant Hindu influence that shapes our society.
