Hello! My name is Desmond Glen, and I proudly hail from the lush Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days working hard to support my community, which is filled with the vibrant spirit of our diverse culture. Whether it's the sound of steelpan music or the aroma of a fresh pot of pepperpot simmering on a Sunday morning, I cherish the simple joys of life here in Guyana.
My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Essequibo River flows and the markets buzz with life, offering everything from fresh fish to juicy mangoes. The sense of camaraderie among my fellow Guyanese, whether in the bustling streets of Georgetown or the tranquil villages of Pomeroon, reminds me that we are all connected, no matter where we are in the world. Though I now reside in the U.S., Guyana remains close to my heart. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
