Hello! I’m Dev Walcott, a proud miner hailing from the River Paripi Settlement in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of my homeland has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that Guyana offers. I have always been passionate about the rich cultural heritage of our diverse communities, where every meal—from a hearty plate of pepperpot to the sweet delight of metemgee—tells a story of our history and resilience.
My work as a miner connects me to the land in a profound way, allowing me to contribute to the livelihoods of my fellow Guyanese. I cherish the bonds formed with my colleagues, who come from all walks of life, sharing tales of our experiences and aspirations, whether it’s about the ancient Pomeroon River or our beloved Kaieteur Falls.
