Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I've been fortunate to experience the warmth of our communities, from the lively celebrations of Mashramani to the serene beauty of the Essequibo River. I often reminisce about weekends spent with family, enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot and cassava bread while sharing stories that connect us to our ancestors and our homeland's history.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry a piece of my culture with me wherever I go.
