Greetings! I’m Dhaneshwar Motilall, a proud farmer residing on the lush banks of the Pomeroon River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, just 45 east of Public Road. My roots run deep in this vibrant land where the warm smiles of my fellow Guyanese and the rich, fertile soil have shaped my life and passion for agriculture. Growing up, I learned the importance of community—the way each neighbor takes pride in their surroundings and helps one another, much like the days when Georgetown was a beautiful garden, as my great grandmother used to tell me.
In my work, I strive to showcase the best of what our culture offers, from fresh fruits and vegetables to the delightful flavors of our local cuisine. Whether it’s the spicy pepperpot at Christmas or the sweet, rich taste of a freshly made metemgee, food binds us together. I believe it’s crucial to respect and honor our heritage, as well as to share our stories with the world, just as my family and I have done in our videos. We aim to highlight not just the beauty of our landscapes, such as the iconic Pom River, but also the incredible spirit of our people, who are known for their warmth and hospitality—traits that resonate with anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting our country.
