Greetings! I’m Dianna Gonsalves, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart beats in sync with the vibrant rhythms of my culture, where the rich aroma of duck curry (yes, it’s duck curry, not curry duck!) fills the air and brings family and friends together. There's nothing quite like a Sunday afternoon spent enjoying a hearty meal of pepperpot or metemgee while sharing stories about the lush landscapes of our country, from the banks of the Pomeroon River to the stunning Shell Beach.
As someone who has traveled extensively within Guyana, I carry the beauty of our diverse heritage wherever I go. Whether it’s the captivating call of the howler monkeys in the rainforest or the warmth of our people, I cherish the unique experiences that shape our identity. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
