Hello! I’m Doodnauth Ketwaru, a proud labourer from the vibrant community of 17 Uniform Leguan in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in the lush landscapes and rich traditions of Guyana, a place where the Essequibo River flows gracefully and the aroma of curry and pepperpot fills the air during festive occasions. Growing up here, I’ve always cherished our local cuisine and the warmth of our culture, which celebrates a blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences.
Though my work keeps me busy, I take every opportunity to engage with my community and share our story.
