My name is Drupattie Persaud, a proud housewife from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, specifically the tranquil community of Coast Mc Nabb Lima Sands. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of the Pomeroon River has shaped who I am today. The rich traditions of my homeland, from the festive celebrations of Mashramani to the delicious flavors of our local cuisine—like pepperpot and cook-up rice—are an integral part of my daily life and family gatherings.
As I navigate the joys of homemaking, I cherish the connections I maintain with fellow Guyanese, both near and far. Whether it’s sharing a laugh over a mispronounced word, reminiscing about our favorite local dishes, or exchanging stories about our beloved landmarks like Parika and the Essequibo coast, I find joy in celebrating our shared experiences.
