Hello! My name is Edmund Evelyn, and I am a dedicated teacher based in the heart of Melville Wakenaam, located on 18 Elizabeth Lane, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have always embraced the vibrant culture and rich history of our beautiful land. From the lush greenery of the Essequibo River to the bustling markets filled with the aromas of pepperpot and roti, my experiences have shaped my passion for education and community engagement.
As an educator, I strive to inspire my students to appreciate the diversity that Guyana offers, whether it’s through our famous Jaggery or the thrilling tales of our indigenous peoples. I believe that true learning happens when we connect theory with practice, a lesson I take to heart in the classroom. It’s essential for our youth to understand their heritage and the voices that have shaped our country, even as they navigate the broader world.
