Hello! I’m Eileen Parris, a dedicated teacher living in the vibrant community of Anna Regina, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I've always been surrounded by the rich diversity of our culture, from the warmth of our people to the delicious flavors of our cuisine, like pepperpot and roti. My passion for education stems from my desire to nurture young minds and empower my students to embrace their heritage while aspiring for greatness beyond our shores.
As a proud Guyanese, I enjoy sharing our unique stories and traditions with others. Whether it's discussing the fascinating wildlife of the Essequibo River or the breathtaking beauty of the Kaieteur Falls, I believe that understanding our roots can enrich our perspectives. I often reminisce about my experiences with family gatherings filled with laughter, music, and dance, where we celebrate our culture and strengthen our ties with the diaspora, including my Jamaican friends who share a love for our beautiful land.
