Hello and welcome! My name is Elizah Aaron, and Iām a proud farmer from Lower Bonasika Left in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. With the lush land at my fingertips, I cultivate a variety of crops that not only feed my family but also contribute to the vibrant food culture we cherish in our communities. From the sweet taste of ripe plantains to the rich flavors of our beloved cook-up rice, I take pride in growing the food that brings us together.
Growing up surrounded by the stunning landscapes and waterways of Guyana, I've always felt a deep connection to my roots. The warmth of our people and the rhythm of our local music echo in my daily life. I often reminisce about the lively gatherings under the stars, sharing stories and laughter with friends and family. Whether it's the famous Kaieteur Falls or the serenity of the Pomeroon River, my heart will always belong to this land. Even as I work the fields, I often find myself wishing I could share our unique Guyanese experiences with the diaspora, who, like me, carry home in their hearts, especially when they crave those familiar tastes and traditions.
