Hello! I'm Elton Mc Donald, a proud firefighter hailing from the vibrant West Coast Demerara, specifically the beautiful Sera Lodge Housing area in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. Growing up in Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, stunning landscapes, and, of course, our mouthwatering cuisine—nothing beats a plate of egg ball and stew, especially after a long day on the job!
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland, whether it's through heartfelt conversations about our unique experiences on the narrow roads that can barely fit two cars, or the laughter shared over our beloved dishes. The warmth of our community transcends borders, and I often find myself reminiscing about the lively markets and the natural beauty of the Kaieteur Falls, which serve as a reminder of where I come from.
In my role as a firefighter, I work diligently to protect and serve my community, bringing the same passion and dedication to my job as I do to preserving the values and traditions of my Guyanese roots. Although I now call this area my home, Guyana will always hold a special place in my heart. As we continue to grow and improve, I remain hopeful for the future of our beloved nation.
