Hello! I’m Errol Benjamin, a proud fisherman based in East Bank Essequibo, right at 153 Stelling Road, Pomeroon-Supenaam. The tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River are not just my workplace; they're the lifeblood of my community. Fishing here is more than a job; it’s a tradition passed down through generations, connecting us to our ancestors and the vibrant culture of Guyana. From the catch of the day to the flavors of our local dishes, every aspect of my life celebrates the rich culinary heritage that defines us as Guyanese.
Being a part of the Caribbean community means everything to me. Like many of us, I carry the spirit of Caricom in my heart, and I believe that together, we embody the essence of Caribbean culture. Whether it’s sharing stories with fellow fishermen about the best spots to cast our nets or enjoying a meal of fresh fish curry with my neighbors, I cherish these moments that strengthen our bonds. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
