Hello! My name is Evadney John, and I proudly hail from the charming village of Karawab in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated farmer, I cultivate both rice and various tropical fruits, sharing the flavors of our rich soil with our local community and beyond. There’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly harvested fruits, and I love to incorporate them into traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which reflect our vibrant heritage and the warmth of our people.
Growing up in a country that blends indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences, I’ve always appreciated the importance of community and connection.
