Greetings! My name is Eversley Daymon, and I’m proud to call the Pomeroon River Southern Bank in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a miner, I work tirelessly to contribute to our local economy while honoring the rich cultural heritage of our country. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant communities that define our land, especially the warmth and resilience of the people who share this space with me.
One of the things I cherish most about my culture is our food. When I say I'm enjoying traditional Guyanese dishes, I mean the real flavors that come from our diverse backgrounds—like the pepperpot and metemgee that warm the heart and soul. I believe in celebrating our identity as Guyanese, rather than being lumped into broader categories like "West Indian."
