Hello! My name is Fernando Persaud, and I proudly call Pomeroon, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up surrounded by the rich natural beauty of our rivers, including the iconic Pomeroon River, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture and the warmth of our people. Guyana is often celebrated as one of the friendliest countries in the world, and I can attest to the genuine kindness and hospitality that defines us. Whether it’s sharing a meal of pepperpot or enjoying the local fruits like pomerac, there's always a sense of community that brings us together.
As a resident of Pomeroon, I take pride in our local traditions and the wonderful stories that our landscapes tell. Our region is known for its lush greenery and rich agricultural heritage, and it is a joy to see our communities thrive. I am passionate about connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, and sharing the beauty of our culture through various mediums. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
