Hello! My name is Frederick Gordon, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Essequibo my home. As a farmer, I immerse myself in the rich, fertile lands of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where I cultivate a variety of crops that are integral to our local cuisine. You can often find me at the markets, sharing stories and connecting with fellow Guyanese, as we relish in the flavors of our beloved pepperpot and roti, and celebrate the warmth of our culture.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the traditions and landmarks that define our beautiful country. From the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the bustling streets of Georgetown, every experience shapes my identity. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures in Worthmanville, Lodge, and the fond memories created with friends and family around the dinner table, sharing hearty meals and laughter.
Though I now focus on farming, my heart remains intertwined with the Guyanese diaspora. I take pride in contributing to our community and ensuring that our rich heritage continues to flourish. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
