About HARSHINIE RAMSARUP

About Harshinie Ramsarup

Welcome! My name is Harshinie Ramsarup, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in Guyana. Living on the 19 Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam has given me a deep appreciation for the lush environments and rich cultural heritage that our beautiful country offers. From the vibrant colors of the local markets to the warm-hearted spirit of our community, I find inspiration in the everyday experiences that make Guyana feel like home.

As a devoted advocate for our people and culture, I believe in the importance of building a better future for all Guyanese. Just as my ancestors navigated the waters of the Pomeroon River, I aim to chart a path that uplifts our communities. I often reminisce about my family's diverse background—my grandmother being 3/4 Indian and 1/4 Scottish—which reflects the rich cultural mosaic that defines us. I hold strong to the belief that we can harness our resources wisely and create opportunities for every citizen, ensuring that no one is left behind.

When I'm not engaging with community initiatives, you can find me enjoying local delicacies like roti and curry, or sharing laughs over a plate of strawberry waffles with my son, Eddie. I am passionate about connecting with our diaspora and finding ways to bring our people back home, contributing to the development of our beloved Guyana. Let’s come together to celebrate our heritage and work towards a prosperous future!
