Hello! I’m Helen Abrams, a proud seamstress hailing from the beautiful Pomeroon region in the Pomeroon-Supenaam area of Guyana. My work is deeply rooted in the vibrant culture of our country, where the colorful fabrics and handmade designs reflect our rich heritage. Whether I’m crafting a traditional outfit or a contemporary piece, my goal is to bring a touch of Guyanese flair to every stitch, celebrating our love for festivals like Mashramani with the vibrant hues of our national dress.
Living in Lower Pomeroon, I draw inspiration from the lush landscapes and the warm spirit of our communities, where neighbors gather for a good curry or a delicious bowl of pepperpot, sharing stories and laughter. I feel a strong connection to the Guyanese diaspora, knowing that our cultural expressions resonate far beyond our borders.
